Chris Vaughn
Chris Vaughn is a New Jersey–based filmmaker, writer, and producer whose work bridges faith, family, and community storytelling with an edge of suspense and authenticity. Residing in Monmouth County, New Jersey, Vaughn has built a reputation for blending heartfelt narratives with cinematic craftsmanship that reflects the values and struggles of everyday people.
His short film The Fifth Chair garnered awards both in the United States and abroad for its inspiring portrayal of redemption and forgiveness, while his earlier documentary Jerseyboy Hero featured appearances by Bruce Springsteen and Nick Vallelonga, further cementing his presence in the Jersey Shore music and film culture. Vaughn is currently developing two projects — Lucky Bastard (directed by Jared Cohn) and Feelin’ Lucky — which continue his mission to explore themes of faith, luck, and legacy through a modern lens.
Through The Chris Vaughn Company, he develops and produces independent films, music projects, and community initiatives that connect audiences to authentic, value-driven storytelling. His work reflects a dedication to art that uplifts while remaining grounded in realism and emotional truth.

Beyond his creative ventures, Vaughn also serves as Sovereign Plenipotentiary Trustee (S.P. Trustee) of the House of Messer, where he oversees trust affairs, heritage preservation, and intergenerational stewardship. This private role intertwines with his public artistry, symbolically linking his filmmaking to a broader vision of legacy, family, and faith. While details of this trusteeship remain largely private, it informs the deeper moral and cultural threads that define his body of work.
